There were only two days in 2025 when Russia did not bomb Ukraine. Daily shelling, destruction, and killings of civilians, including, unfortunately, children, are a terrible reality that Ukrainians have been living with for over three years.
Recently, one of Russia’s massive missile and drone attacks on Kyiv claimed the lives of 13 people and injured 87 more. Many families lost their loved ones and were left homeless, their homes completely or partially destroyed.
The pain of these people is our common pain. But evil will not have the last word. Prayer. Help. Sacrifice. This is our response.
Having learned about the tragedy of the affected families in this area of Kyiv, the team of the organization “We Can!” together with our Swedish friends from the organization Star of Hope responded to the call for help. Food kits were purchased to provide 50 families with food for a long period. Words of support, hugs and prayers became no less important expressions of concern for these people.
Those who received help were sincerely grateful – their eyes shone with joy, because they felt that they had not been forgotten, that they were important to our team.
We have no right to remain silent about what Russia is doing in Ukraine. The world must hear and see these crimes in order to continue to help Ukrainians and do everything possible to stop Russian aggression and prevent new victims among the civilian population.
We pray for the families who suffered and for peace in Ukraine!
We sincerely thank our regular partners from the Swedish organization Star of Hope for their financial support in purchasing food kits. Together – we are strong!
